How our service works
We deploy Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) wireless networks utilizing licensed and unlicensed wireless. If you are in one of these areas covered by our FWA, we will schedule a site survey with you after we have done some modeling in our network software. This software gives us a good idea if we can service your home or business, but it doesn’t cover 100% of all cases. This is why we will do an on-site survey to validate that we can get service to you. Once service is validated we will install a small dish on your roof, garage, or other location that has line of sight to our tower.
What to expect with our service
We do not believe in limiting how you use our services. All residential plans are no contract, and do not have data transfer limits. Business plans could have a contract period depending on what is required for things such as custom builds.
Towers
We build, own, and operate most of our own towers. This allows us to be more flexible in providing services, and is generally lower cost than renting space on cell provider towers.
Our towers are generally between 60-100 feet tall and can be self-supporting or utilize guy wires for support. They take up an area on the ground of about 5 feet by 5 feet (self-supporting), or 100 feet by 100 feet (guyed). The guy wires are placed approximately 85-90 feet from the base of the tower in a triangular pattern. See here for some example pictures.
We work with community spaces and home/business owners to lease the space to place a tower and provide free internet to the tower host as compensation. We will sometimes be able to use/lease existing towers as well if you have a TV Antenna tower on your home already. If you are interested in hosting a tower, please indicate this on your service inquiry form.
Fees and service charges
- Monthly service charge:
- Basic wireless router (leased)
- Receiving antenna (leased)
- All taxes, fees, etc are included in the service price.
- We do not do introductory rates, then raise your rates.
- We do not believe in hiding charges, what you see is what you pay.
- Standard Installation:
- $150
- Extenuating circumstances could incur additional costs, though this will be discussed with you prior to starting the installation.
- Service calls
- If there are intentional changes or damage to our equipment, we will charge a service fee to come fix the equipment.
- If the issue is with our system or a manufacturing defect we will provide the service free of charge.
- Late fees
- If your bill is more than 7 days overdue you will be charged a $20 late fee to reconnect service.
FAQ
- Can I use my own router?
- Yes, but we will still install our router/switch and receiving antenna, but it will be in bridge/transparent configuration as this is already included in the monthly service charge and the receiving antenna isn’t something you can provide yourself.
- What if I don’t pay my bill on time?
- After 7 days of your bill being overdue, our billing system will send you a notice and suspend your internet service. There will be a $20 late fee to reconnect service.
